  • R7108sb s-bus

    Hello,

I bought the 7108sb receiver today.
When connecting my igyro SRS via the S BUS connection, the gyro lits up, but no servo signal
passes thru. Same for connecting a servo in the regular servo connections. There, the servo centers,
    but impossible to steer.
The receiver was linked twice already, and the light illuminates green.

    Any help?

    Regards,

    Eric

    Hi Eric,
what did you connect it to S-Bus 1? Maybe you need to activate the S-Bus mode?

    Best,

    Fred

Ok, 2 red blinks on the receiver, so S bus activated.
Now, I connected the igyro SRS to the receiver’s s bus output, and the display indicated normally.

Then, I connected the servo’s to the gyro output, but they remain unpowered.
Is there any setting I’m overlooking?

          Rgds,

          Eric

            Hi Eric,

now that you have Mode B activated, Channel 8 is S-Bus so you should connect the IGyro there and not to the S-Bus2 port.

Here at Page 11 you can follow the explanation for R7008SB, will be analog to R7108SB:
              https://www.powerbox-systems.com/upl...0_iGyro_en.pdf

Note that R7108SB can be switched between Fasst and Fasstest Modulation, sometimes it’s a bit confusing in which setting you are Modulation or Mode. You have to read the manual precise and watch the LED exactly:

                Hi Ben,

The igyro is connected to ch 8.
The display lits up correctly, but servo’s connected to the unit don’t seem to react.

                Rgds,
                Eric

                  Hi Eric,

I just read now that at the beginning you wrote: „ Same for connecting a servo in the regular servo connections“ does it mean when you connect a Servo at channel 1-7 directly to the Receiver they also doesn’t move?

                    Nono,
Connecting servo’s directly to the receiver does not pose an issue.
Problem is only that theservo’s don’t move/are not powered thru the igyro/S Bus.
The gyro is well powered, working.

                    Rgds,

                    Eric

Ok, I don’t know your Setup (in addition with an Powerbox Competition SRS e.g. or not) but my last idea is that you you have the wrong setting in the iGyro TX-Setting menu for Digital Out:On/Off.

Is there a way to define the protocol in the igyro?
somewhere it needs to know it us connected to a Futaba receiver. Then you need to assign input and output chanels Martin Pickering‘s videos explain these things very well!

                        best,

                        Fref
